"Wow!" Look at
that!"  exclaimed
Grandpa as they
gathered around the
screen.
“That  must  be
where  the
beautiful  music is
coming from. It
looks safe.  Let’s
land,’’  said
Sparky,  the ship's
co-pilot and radio
operator.
“I’m for that!”
laughed Grandpa
who could hardly
contain his
excitement.

"This must be paradise!"
cheered the crew.
Everyone  was so excited.
   It had been almost a
year since they had
breathed real air and the
food on board ship was
getting a little stale.  As
they looked out the
windows a huge forest
could be seen. Nearby a
beautiful waterfall was
flowing into a crystal
blue pool. All around
were fruit trees and
vines with wild berries
and grapes.   The flowers
were higher than their
heads.

"We must be
dreaming!"  laughed
Grandpa with a sigh of
relief.
They followed the
beautiful music around
a bend and there in the
center of a bright blue
pond were  the funniest
 creatures you have
ever seen.   They were
laughing and splashing
in the warm clear
water. The crew knew
from the smiles, this
must be a safe place to
be.

“It looks as if we have
company,”  laughed one
of the funny creatures.
“I hope they know how
to sing,”  said another.
“You do know how to
swim, don’t you?”  asked
the first.
“We may not be the
best singers in the
galaxie,   but that
water looks
wonderful!”  exclaimed
Grandpa, as he jumped
right in.
The big blue ship had been drifting for almost a year......
Suddenly the emergency radio came to life.   The room was filled with wonderful music.  Everyone
jumped for joy.  They had almost given up on being rescued.  Using the ship’s computer,  they zeroed in
on a little yellow moon  that was orbiting a very large red planet.   The pretty music kept getting
louder as the moon came into view.

“Yahoo!”  squealed
Sparky as he
splashed all
around.  Everyone
was having such a
great time. They
didn’t even notice
the sun starting to
set.
