I had a wonderful experience last November and wish to
share that experience with my readers.
I have a business at the College of the Desert Street Fair in
Palm Desert California with my wife Patty since 1992.  It
pays our bills and gives me the freedom to work on my
music and children’s books but best of all it keeps my books
free of charge to any child who wants them “thanks to the
Internet.”

  On November 22, 2009 I noticed a new display just a
hundred feet from our booth.  The Palm Springs Shriners’
Club had set up a trailer displaying their work with the
Shrine Hospital of Los Angeles.

This moment has changed my life:
I was introduced to Don Cook, Stan Adams and Bobby
Gold.  (You will see these people on the video.)  I showed
them my books and gave them a stack to give away.  Since
then we have become close friends. Don Cook, the former
President of the Palm Spring Shriners invited me to take a
ride in the Shriners’ hospital van to take the little boy (in the
video), Jose,’  into the LA hospital. Jose was born with no
arms or legs and has been in the care of the Shriner’s for
several years.  I went along for the ride and found my
destiny.  I am presently learning the steps to becoming a
Shriner and feel that this is one of the finest organizations in
the world in regards to their work with children and the fact
that all hospital costs are paid so families can get on with
living and not be tortured by medical bills.
